Catastrophe Introduces New Twin Peaks Field

Alliance and Horde factions will jar anew as each side vies for control of Twin Peaks, the approaching 10-man battlefield formed for the Buy WoW Cata Items expanding upon.

World of Warcraft has seen its fair partake of skirmishes between the two factions, but tensions are set to strain another simmering place with both factions claiming ownership of Twin Peaks, a strategical fastness for launch attacks against Deathwing, the nigrify dragonflight and Twilight 39;s Hammer clan.

Leading the shoot down for the Alliance faction are the Wildhammer dwarves who plan to march through Twin Peaks before reclaiming their once-beloved working capital of Grim Batol. Meanwhile, the Dragonmaw orcs headline the Horde advance, quest to sate their bloodlust for dragons.

Capture-the-flag Objectives

Winning the Twin Peaks battlefield relies on complemental capture-the-flag objectives like those found in Warsong Gulch, but with irrigate and cliff environments tangled in.

Like Warsong Gulch, Twin Peaks is also a 10 vs. 10 battleground where each side William Claude Dukenfield a random group of 10 players who must work together to infest the base and slip the enemy flag while protecting their own from capture. Despite their similarities in -the-flag gameplay, Twin Peaks is not a rehash of Warsong Gulch. For one, Twin Peaks has an irregular domain specked with oodles peaks and a river divides both faction bases. A unity bridge over connects the two sides and serves as a quot;choke direct quot; in the middle of the map, but players also have the pick of crossing slowly across the knee-deep river.

Faction Bases

Both sect bases mdash;the Wildhammer Longhouse(Alliance) and the Dragonmaw Clan Compound(Horde) mdash;contain three entrances and two routes of assail. Horde forces can surprise the Wildhammer Longhouse by grading the plateaus northwest or barging through the midsection stairwell. Caution must be taken though to keep off descending off the cliff, which can cause and lead a Horde offense one man short-circuit.

Meanwhile, Alliance forces can overrun the Dragonmaw Clan Compound by slithering through a Southeast river transition or a bridge over over the waterfront. The peril here is being knocked into the irrigate and departure Alliance players vulnerable from landlocked ranged attacks while heading to the riverbanks.

Outpost Power-ups and Line-of-sight Tactics

Smart players should take advantage of superpowe-ups in outposts placed on either side of the Twin Peaks river. These temporary worker buffs can turn the tide of the combat by bestowing increased damage or regenerative sanative.

The Twin Peaks landscape also has a handful of tree stumps and rocks which can supply worthful line-of-sight advantage. Channeled and long-cast spells can be interrupted or evaded wholly through the apropos use of line-of-sight maneuver, in effect adding depth to this new battlefield.

Two Graveyards Per Faction

Another unusual feature in Twin Peaks is the use of two graveyards per sect. Defeated players will now indiscriminately rise from two spawn points, which according to Blizzard, should quot;prevent total by one sect through its control of the burial ground. quot;

With its novel features and fantastic map plan, Twin Peaks should inject exhilaration to the PvP view in Cataclysm and revolutionise both factions to fight tooth and nail for each field play off.
